They’re used for adhesives, sealants, heavy creams, and other high-viscosity products where standard agitators “channel” and stop moving material. Many designs include scrapers to prevent wall build-up and to improve heat transfer when the vessel is jacketed. Vacuum capability is often added because thick pastes trap air easily.
