In adhesive and coating production, pulling vacuum while mixing helps remove entrapped air and volatile bubbles that would otherwise cause defects. The vessel is usually paired with a high‑torque mixer capable of handling thick, de‑aerated materials. Sight glasses, lights, and appropriate vacuum gauges are added so operators can monitor the batch without breaking the seal.
